Frenchs Forest

Granny Flat + Studio

Early-stage approvals, coordination and systems. A quiet secondary dwelling sitting low under the eucalypts — drawn, redrawn, and worked through one PDF at a time.

Sydney light around 5pm

Something cinematic about office towers catching late afternoon winter light. The city goes soft for fifteen minutes.

Lived-in geometry

Plans that leave room for furniture, weather, and a slightly chaotic morning. The good kind of unfinished.

A café table that accidentally became an office

Good light. Enough space. Unexpectedly productive — stayed three hours.

Layer naming, again

Spent the morning standardising layers. Boring work, quietly satisfying. Future me will thank present me.

Architecture as documentation

The drawing isn't the building. But it's the only place the whole building exists at once.

Walking along the Thames on a grey London afternoon, City skyline and Millennium Bridge in the distance.

§ 05 — About

Tayná Fischer is a Brazilian-trained Building Designer based in Sydney — working across CDC residential documentation, secondary dwellings, and the quiet systems that hold a project together.

Born in Brazil, where she completed a Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism, now three years into Sydney residential practice — currently pursuing DBP Low Rise accreditation through that experience.

I work in Revit. I think in layers. I care about the drawing that makes sense at 7am when a builder opens it on site.

This space is a working notebook — part portfolio, part archive, part thinking out loud. Layer names. Morning light. The small structural decisions nobody sees but everyone lives inside.

§ 06 — Connect

Work.
Collaborations.
Conversations.

I work with builders, developers and homeowners on residential documentation — granny flats, secondary dwellings, CDC submissions and the coordination that sits between design intent and approval.

If you're a builder looking for a documentation partner, or a homeowner trying to make sense of what's actually approvable on your block — I'm the right person to talk to.

Always open to a slow email about architecture, systems, or somewhere worth working from.
